Project Staff

Jean Wortman (Program Officer): A Talbot County resident, Jean has worked for MHC since 2005. Previously she was the Project Coordinator for the Heart of Chesapeake Heritage Area in Cambridge,  and worked as the Director of Education at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum.

Beth Barbush (Program Manager): Beth has  a decade of experience working as a community artist, organizer and educator in Maryland and internationally. She specializes in story collecting, photography and developing community programs and is currently living in the ‘Neck District’ of Dorchester County.

     Ginny Boone (Intern): Ginny Boone graduated in 2011 from St. Mary’s College with an English degree and a minor in Environmental Studies. She is currently serving as an intern for the Maryland Humanities Council.

Jeremy Rothwell: (Intern): Jeremy earned a B.A. in political science and history from Washington College in 2009, and is currently pursuing a M.A. in Regional Planning from the University of Delaware. A native of Cecil County, he resides in Chestertown. He has worked previously as a legislative assistant to Delegate David D. Rudolph D-Cecil, and as an agricultural specialist for the Upper Shore Regional Council.

Doug Sadler: The Creative Director of The Pocket Media Group, Doug Sadler is an award-winning writer, director and filmmaker who divides his time between NYC and the Eastern Shore. More of his work can be seen at
